On March 27, 2025, Hayes communicated directly with her constituents regarding an opportunity for assistance with federal agencies. Through her social media account, she announced, "Need help with a federal agency? Our Casework On Your Corner team will be at Meriden City Hall, on Tuesday, April 1 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Come by anytime - no appointment needed."
The following day, March 28, 2025, Hayes addressed the challenges faced by small farmers in the context of increasing frequency of unexpected disasters. She tweeted, "As unexpected disasters happen more and more, small farmers are facing rising costs with less support. To protect #CT05 farmers, I introduced the SOS Farms Act to make disaster relief and insurance more affordable, accessible, and responsive."

She participated in the groundbreaking of a new fire training school, stating, "Joined the City of Danbury and the Danbury Fire Department for the groundbreaking of their new fire training school.
