On November 20, 2024, Hayes expressed gratitude towards school support staff in recognition of Education Support Professionals Day. She urged her audience to join her in acknowledging these essential workers by stating, "On this Education Support Professionals Day, join me in thanking school support staff - the bus drivers, school nurses, cafeteria workers, & more - who keep our schools running and make sure the needs of every student are met."
