Jahana Hayes, currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman representing Connecticut's 5th District, shared her views on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. These statements reflect her stance on recent legislative developments and community engagement efforts.

On March 11, 2025, Hayes expressed her opposition to the House Republican funding bill. "Today, I voted no on the House Republican funding bill which increases defense spending by $6 billion, while slashing vital programs and services by $13 billion." She urged the Senate to halt this legislation in favor of renewed negotiations.

Continuing her critique of government actions, Hayes addressed educational policy decisions in a tweet dated March 12, 2025. "Since DOGE can’t dismantle the Dept of Education through congressional action, they will try and withhold funding and fire workers." She warned that such measures would adversely affect children.

In a separate post on March 12, 2025, Hayes announced an event aimed at engaging with constituents. "Our Casework On Your Corner team will see you TODAY at Eno Memorial Hall in Simsbury beginning at 11:00 AM."
