Jahana Hayes, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut's 5th district, recently shared her views on various issues through a series of tweets. Hayes has been serving in Congress since 2019 and is known for her commitment to education and veterans' affairs.

On March 5, 2025, Hayes expressed her dedication to education by stating "A day late but I #WearRedForEd. Congress needs a teacher who understands the impact of legislation on public education. I take the responsibility of being a voice for the profession seriously and will continue to work to uplift the power of education."

Later that day, she invited constituents to engage in discussions about budgetary matters by announcing "Joined Brian & Co @WTIC1080 to discuss relevant topics of the day and invite constituents to join me for a Budget Breakdown Town Hall this Sunday March 9th at Avon High School."

In another tweet from March 5, 2025, Hayes voiced her support for veterans following presidential remarks before Congress. She stated "House Democrats stand in support of veterans following the President's remarks before a Joint Session of Congress last night. Veterans will be negatively harmed by the extreme agenda laid out and we will continue to push back against these harmful proposals."
