Jahana Hayes, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut's 5th district, has been active on social media, sharing updates and initiatives with her constituents. Her recent tweets provide insights into her legislative priorities and community engagement efforts.

On February 19, 2025, Hayes shared a message about her newsletter aimed at keeping constituents informed. She wrote: " From your inbox to your feed I’m bringing you the Weekly Wrap, a recap of the week in Congress and highlights of my work. Subscribe today to receive my full newsletter and stay informed on how my work impacts you https://t.co/6jHqoW9cPP https://t.co/rJ2J2Np2LB".

The following day, February 20, 2025, she expressed support for a legislative initiative concerning student work requirements. In her tweet, she stated: "Let’s do it! I can have the bill drafted by tomorrow. Talk to your overlords and let’s get that passed to remove the 20 hr work requirement for students. That’s a great idea and will help so many college students."

Later that day, Hayes celebrated a cultural milestone in Waterbury with the opening of an Afro-Latino black box theater. She tweeted: "Waterbury is officially home to the FIRST & only Afro-Latino black box theater in CT. Years in the making, Pa’lante Theater Company will be a regional hub to cultivate & celebrate artistic expression, community engagement & cultural representation. ¡Muchas felicidades!"
