Jahana Hayes, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Connecticut's 5th district since 2019, has recently addressed several pressing issues through her social media platform. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, and residing in Wolcott, Hayes is known for her advocacy on various public concerns.

On January 30, 2025, Hayes commented on recent developments in drug pricing policy. She stated that "Last week, President Biden took action to lower drug pricing for seniors. This week, President Trump reversed measures that would help Medicare beneficiaries afford prescriptions. We should all agree that this hurts the American people."

In another post dated January 31, 2025, she discussed immigration issues following actions by the Trump administration. Hayes wrote: "I hosted a meeting with immigration stakeholders to discuss recent actions taken by the Trump administration. It is crucial that all communities understand their rights and have the necessary resources and support."

Later on January 31, she shared news about student nominations to service academies: "Our service academies prepare cadets with the skills to dedicate their lives to our country. Thrilled to announce student nominations to the Service Academies Class of 2029! Join me in congratulating them on this exciting journey."
