Jahana Hayes, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut's 5th district, has recently shared updates on her official Twitter account regarding various community events and initiatives she participated in. Hayes has been serving in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Elizabeth Esty. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, she currently resides in Wolcott and holds a BA from Southern Connecticut State University.

On November 22, 2024, Hayes tweeted about attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for McCall Behavioral Health Network's first primary care office and the expansion of adolescent services. She noted that "The new office will enhance mental health services for adolescents while offering preventive care, health screenings, & more."

In another tweet dated November 23, 2024, Hayes expressed her enthusiasm for joining the Housatonic Valley Association Auction for the Environment at South Farms in Morris. She stated: "Excited about all we have accomplished together and looking forward to continuing the work to preserve and protect our environment."
