Jahana Hayes, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut's 5th district since 2019, has recently shared her thoughts and acknowledgments on various local events and individuals through a series of tweets.

On November 21, 2024, Hayes expressed her condolences regarding the passing of former Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell. In her tweet, she stated: "My statement on the passing of former Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell."

Later that day, Hayes congratulated Keudy Martinez on being elected as the 2025 Connecticut Kid Governor. She highlighted his focus areas: school safety, anti-bullying, and mental health awareness efforts. Her message read: "Congratulations 2025 CT Kid Governor Keudy Martinez, from H.S. On November 22, 2024, Hayes participated in an event honoring Dr. Marc N. Raad as Lebanese Mayor for the Day in Waterbury.
