Of the 864,751 people living in New Haven County, Connecticut in 2021, 51.6% (445,841) were women and 48.4% (418,910) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by Naugatuck Times.

Data showed the average age for women in New Haven County in 2021 was 42 years, higher than the national average of 40 for women.

According to census data, women aged 18 and over outnumbered men in the same age group by 11,335. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 65,092 men and 84,807 women.
