Stitches for stories

Join local crochet enthusiast, Sharon Johnson, for the first of  a hopeful series on the art of crochet. In this initial session, we’ll  cover the basics of a few different stitches and techniques and begin  working on crocheted bookmarks. As we progress, we’ll create a whole  host of stitched goods that surround the world of books and stories,  think tea cozies, book covers, doilies for cookies, you name it!

Sharon is a Salisbury resident who learned to crochet at the age of  six from her mother and grandmother. Over the years, she’s learned to  make hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, blankets among many other great  items. Crocheting is a fun and relaxing hobby. All materials will be  provided. Registration requested.
