53 percent of applicants to Post University were admitted for fall 2018

At Post University, 78 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 69 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in Waterbury enrolled 9,845 students in fall 2018, including 9,049 in undergraduate and 796 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

18 percent of undergraduates are residents of Connecticut, and 79 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (38 percent) and Black or African American (26 percent).

The school admitted 53 percent of the 6,425 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 21 percent enrolled.
