Hayes has represented Connecticut’s 5th District since replacing Elizabeth Esty in 2019 and is known for maintaining active communication with her constituents online and through community outreach initiatives. Born in Waterbury in 1973 and currently residing in Wolcott, she holds a BA from Southern Connecticut State University.
