Jahana Hayes, U.S. Congresswoman representing Connecticut’s 5th district since 2019, shared updates on her recent activities and constituent engagement through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) in August 2025.

On August 20, Hayes introduced her weekly newsletter initiative to the public. Later that day, Hayes highlighted her team’s ongoing outreach efforts with local constituents and organizations. She stated: “Our DC team continues to connect with #CT05 constituents & organizations. On August 21, Hayes addressed students interested in pursuing military education opportunities. Hayes has represented Connecticut’s 5th District since replacing Elizabeth Esty in 2019 and is known for maintaining active communication with her constituents online and through community outreach initiatives. Born in Waterbury in 1973 and currently residing in Wolcott, she holds a BA from Southern Connecticut State University.
