Jahana Hayes, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Connecticut’s 5th district, has recently shared her engagements and expressions of gratitude through a series of tweets. Her posts reflect her commitment to service members, the agricultural community, and educational leaders.
On March 17, 2025, Hayes expressed her appreciation for service members by participating in an initiative organized by Democrats to assemble over 1,000 care packages with the USO. She tweeted: “Democrats assembled over 1,000 care packages for service members with #USO as a small token of appreciation for our troops. Grateful for their service and for the opportunity to give back. #SupportOurTroops”.
The following day, March 18, 2025, Hayes acknowledged the efforts of farmers on National Agriculture Day. In her tweet, she noted: “On this #NationalAgricultureDay we are grateful for the hardworking farmers and growers in #CT05 and across the nation, and recognize their contribution to fueling our economy and feeding our communities.”
Later that day, she thanked educational organizations during her participation in a national conference. Your work and commitment to students & families is vitally important to protecting public education.”
