Jahana Hayes, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Connecticut’s 5th district, has shared several updates through her social media activity, reflecting on initiatives and interactions with her constituents. Since replacing Elizabeth Esty in 2019, Hayes has been an advocate for education and diverse community engagement.
On May 3, 2025, Hayes highlighted an initiative inviting students to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. hosted by Senator Chris Murphy. Hayes, born in Waterbury, Connecticut in 1973, and currently residing in Wolcott, obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Connecticut State University in 2005.
