Jahana Hayes, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Connecticut’s 5th District, often expresses her views on various social initiatives and community-driven programs. Through her recent social media updates, she shared her engagement in activities aimed at addressing mental health challenges, facilitating community reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals, and extending festive greetings.
On April 19, 2025, Hayes posted about a visit from “Members of Parents Anonymous” highlighting the necessity of a “national 24/7 helpline for parents and youth facing challenges with mental health, child welfare, & substance abuse.” She noted that such efforts are crucial for breaking “the cycle of trauma and end the stigma of asking” for help.
Later that day, Hayes commented on her experience learning about “Hang Time and the CT Hall of Change,” which work alongside local leaders and formerly incarcerated individuals to reintegrate them into society. Hayes emphasized the significance of such programs, stating they are “instrumental to transforming lives and strengthening communities.”
In a brief message the following day, April 20, 2025, Hayes wished everyone “a blessed and happy Easter.”
