Emma Ballschmieder, former Cheshire High School standout’s collegiate team plays on Thursday, May 15 in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship

On Thursday, May 15, former Cheshire High School standout Emma Ballschmieder’s current collegiate team the Western New England Golden Bears lost 1-11 against the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The game took place at Tom and Betty Broyles Field at TowneBank Park at 11 a.m. and was the first matchup against the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins in the tournament.

The Western New England Golden Bears’ next game will take place on Friday, May 16 at 1:30 p.m. at Tom and Betty Broyles Field at TowneBank Park.
