On February 13, 2025, Hayes expressed her engagement with educators from Connecticut during their visit to Washington D.C. She stated: “Caught up with CT teachers from @ceanews who are in DC advocating for our students and teachers. I fully understand the urgency of this moment, and together we will work to amplify the good that is public education.”
Later on the same day, she highlighted her discussions with the Connecticut Small Business Development Center. Hayes noted: “Busy day, taking meetings on the go! Caught up with CT Small Business Development Center- last year they helped 3,584 small businesses in CT-05.” She emphasized the importance of supporting economic growth through small businesses as essential for job creation and long-term prosperity.
On February 14, 2025, Hayes celebrated Valentine’s Day by involving young students in a charitable initiative. She shared: “Happy Valentine’s Day! Thanks to the help of 2nd and 3rd grade students from Smalley Elementary School in #NewBritain we sent 250 Valentines for Veterans to CT VA hospitals.”
